THE ATI WELCOMES TRUST, ACCOUNTABILITY, AND INCLUSION (TAI) COLLABORATIVE
The Addis Tax Initiative (ATI) welcomes TAI Collaborative as its newest member and latest supporting organisation in the multi-stakeholder partnership. With TAI Collaborative on board, the ATI now counts 76 members, bringing together 33 partner countries, 20 development partners, and 23 supporting organisations.
TAI's membership reinforces ATI’s global commitment to fostering strong partnerships and collaboration for the purpose of fair and efficient domestic revenue mobilisation (DRM). The ATI warmly welcomes its newest member and looks forward to a meaningful collaboration towards the common objective of broader impact and the promotion of international cooperation in taxation and development.
About TAI Collaborative
The Trust, Accountability, and Inclusion (TAI) Collaborative - Funders for Participatory Governance is a network of funders committed to advancing a world where power and resources are distributed more equitably, communities are informed and empowered, and governments and the corporate sector act with integrity for the good of people and planet.
The members of TAI Collaborative support a broad range of organisations at both global and local levels that work at the intersection of rights, participation, and accountability to advance more just, equal, inclusive, open, and green societies.
TAI Collaborative and the ATI
Several intersections exist between the work of TAI Collaborative and that of the ATI. TAI funds advocates partnering with communities and other stakeholders to ensure tax and budget policies realise rights and reduce inequalities, which is directly relevant to ATI commitments 1 and 4. Furthermore, TAI supports think tanks in identifying government revenues lost due to loopholes in international tax agreements, an area related to ATI Commitment 3. Last but not least, both TAI and the ATI share a commitment to advocating for reinforcing the tax and fiscal agenda in the ongoing Financing for Development (FfD) process.
The ATI will benefit greatly from TAI Collaborative’s extensive competence in being a bridge to philanthropic support for equitable and effective tax systems.
