Southeast Asia Economic Governance and Infrastructure Facility (SEAEGIF)

SEAEGIF's goal is to contribute to 'quality infrastructure development that drives inclusive growth in Southeast Asia'. The end-of-investment outcome is 'Improved decision-making towards quality infrastructure underpinned by strong government-to-government partnerships'. SEAEGIF has three focus areas: planning and prioritisation of projects; implementation support for public infrastructure procurement; and sector policy and regulation. Climate change, gender equality and social inclusion are integrated throughout. SEAEGIF is delivered via four linked approaches: a quick response mechanism with high calibre advisers to provide advice at short notice to Southeast Asian governments and regional institutions; long term engagement through government-to-government partnerships; technical assistance that supplements and supports government to government partnerships; and regional networking and learning to bring together Australian experts with Southeast Asian counterparts.
