Promoting the Innovation Accelerator of the WFP

The Innovation Accelerator provides WFP operations, entrepreneurs and start-ups with financial resources, practical support and access to WFP's global activities. WFP is leveraging advances in digital innovation ? such as mobile technologies, artificial intelligence, block chain and new business models ? to change the way we can help vulnerable and vulnerable communities around the world. The Innovation Accelerator supports and promotes the processes. By the end of 2025, they want to have a positive impact on the lives of 25 million people. To achieve this, they intend to pursue their overarching objectives for the next five years, including: (1) Saving lives, changing lives through innovative products, services and projects supported by the WFP Innovation Accelerator, (2) Increase geographical coverage by expanding Accelerator-supported products, services and projects to support work in all WFP country offices and regional offices, (3) Strengthening national capacities by integrating innovative products and Accelerator-supported services into the national systems and processes of at least 50 national governments and/or institutions, (4) Expanding partnerships and cross-sectoral cooperation by establishing: at least 50 bilateral and multi-stakeholder partnership agreements with key private sector actors, universities and research institutions, media, WFP and major humanitarian aid and the development community, (5) Achieve a return on investment (ROI) through the provision of $200 million from direct donations, accelerator operations and external funds received through supported projects.
