KRA VERO TAX ADMINISTRATIONS' INSTITUTIONAL COOPERATION

Discussions on the cooperation between the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) and the Finnish Tax Administration (VERO) begun in the beginning of 2021. KRA had requested the African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) for technical assistance and based on Kenya's needs ATAF suggested VERO as the partner.This project aims at the following impact Increasing transparency and trust on Kenya Revenue Authority to enhance voluntary compliance among taxpayers. The more concrete outcome of the project is Building a sustainable taxpayer base and increasing revenue to improve the well being of Kenyan citizens. The project focuses on improving KRA's taxpayer registration. The project is in line with KRA's Eighth Corporate Plan CP8 which is aligned with the country's development agenda. The scope was determined jointly by KRA ATAF and VERO.
