Support to Open Ownership will include activities such as Evidence based advocacy to shape international Beneficial Ownership Transparency (BOT) commitments in foras such as those related to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC). Work with government and non government actors to monitor and advocate for effective implementation of international commitmets to BOT made in various foras. Strengthening of research for the best use of insights and evidence Create and provide as public goods open source technologies to link and use beneficial ownership data that are fit for the increasing range of use cases for this data Context specific support for effective BOT reforms. Although furthering gender equality is not the main objective of BOT reforms it can be classified as a significant objective in some countries. In countries looking to leverage BO information to support gender equality Open Ownership advises governments on how they can more effectively implement and monitor policies that advance gender equality using BO data. Gender is considered as a cross cutting issue throughout programme design delivery and evaluation.
