STRENGTHENING OF TAX ADMINISTRATIONS LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN

The overall objective of the program is to improve the efficiency of tax administrations and mobilize additional tax revenues with the aim of reducing dependency to ODA and creating sufficient fiscal space to allow a proper and sustainable financing of poverty reduction strategies and national development plans. This is pursued through strengthened tax administration main processes in particular risk management research audit and collection increased efficiency in the monitoring of performance and decision making process improved staff selection training and professional development and or supporting the technological modernization of the tax administrations.The intended target group is select tax administrations in Latin American and Caribbean Developing Countries. This cooperation is Norway 's most important regional cooperation program for tax administration in this region.
