In each country the project works directly with affected communities building capacity and supporting engagement with government officials to promote specific changes. In Kenya and Mozambique the project works with communities to support their demands for transparency and effective implementation of revenue sharing policy. In South Africa the project will work with mining communities on the implications of tax avoidance for investment in local development priorities. In working with communities the project will support gender equality and include engagement of youth and marginalised groups.
