AUSTRALIA SOLOMON ISLANDS GOVERNANCE ASSISTANCE 2022 2027

Total value is $50.8 million over 2022 2027. The Australia Solomon Islands Partnership for Governance Program (ASIP Gov) is a four year contract to December 2025 ($35.8m) with a two year option to extend (at $7.5m per year). The goal is to work with SIG to embed inclusive and accountable governance in SIG. End of Program Outcomes a) Strengthened SIG public financial management and oversight b) Improved domestic revenue and improved capacities in targeted areas c) Strengthened inclusive democratic processes and expanded opportunities for stakeholder engagement in public policy dialogue and d) Strengthened relationships between SIG and GoA. The UNDP Strengthen the Electoral Cycle in the Solomon Islands (SECSIP) program aims to enhance the Solomon Islands Electoral Commission (SIEC) capacity on operations voter awareness and improved procedures support electoral and legal reforms voter registration civic education and female candidates and women's political participation.
