USE OF STATISTICS NORWAY FOR TAX FOR DEVELOPMENT IN KENYA

Two year pre project to plan for a long term collaboration. Some of the work that will be explored include 1) support to a statistical business register in Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) 2) support to the national accounts section in KNBS 3) support to macro model work and 4) tax models. The aim is to develop a long term cooperation between Statistics Norway and Kenya Institute of Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) KNBS and Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) that can improve the institutions' ability to provide research and policy analyses related to tax.
