Core challenge In view of the inadequate provision of social economic and administrative infrastructure local authorities can only exercise their responsibility to promote local development and improve living conditions to a very limited extent. Module Objective Selected Malian local authorities provide economic social and administrative infrastructure to fulfil their responsibility to promote local (economic) development and improve living conditions. Key outputs 1. good quality economic infrastructure (e.g. markets bus stations) is provided in each of 4 6 selected medium sized towns adequately addressing the needs of vulnerable groups such as women and the disabled. 2. representatives of key local stakeholders confirm that the specific needs of the population have been adequately addressed in the planning and implementation of the infrastructure. Target group Population of selected medium sized towns in the regions of Kayes and Koulikoro and the city of Gao. Contribution to the national implementation of the 2030 Agenda Contribution to Strategy Axis 1 ' Democracy and Governance ' of the National Agenda 2030 (Cadre Strategique pour la Relance Economique et le Developpement Durable CREDD 2019 2023).
