Development and Implementation of the National Transit System (NTS) of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova compatible with NCTS Phase 5 (N

The Overall objective of this project is to increase the CSRM trade facilitation and operational capacity in the context of implementation of the EU Moldova Association Agreement and the Strategic Framework for EU Republic of Moldova Customs Cooperation through the development and implementation of the NTS compatible with NCTS Phase 5 to prepare for Moldova's accession to the Common Transit Convention. The specific objectives of the project are the following (1) To develop a National Transit System (NCTS NTS) based on Web technologies aligned with the NCTS P5 specifications and national requirements including country specific deviations and the link with the Centrally operated IE Convertor Application (connectivity with countries using NCTS phase 4). (2) To implement the NCTS NTS capabilities into the operational CSRM ASYCUDA environment ensuring full interoperability with existing and prospective ASYCUDAWorld system (3) To train the end users of the system both Customs officers and trade community accordingly (4) To further strengthen the trade facilitation by simplifying the trading environment in terms of customs procedures and documentation while improving the customs supervision and monitoring.
