Community action to promote good governance of mineral resources in Karamoja sub region

This project seeks to promote good governance of mineral resources in Karamoja in Eastern Uganda. The overall objective is to increase coordinated civic engagement and improve transparency and accountability in a sector that is notorious for its secrecy and human rights abuses. The specific objective is the empowerment of citizens and local authorities to effectively monitor and participate in decision making of mineral policies with a focus on Human rights compliance in the districts of Kotido Kabong and Moroto in the Karamoja sub region.
