GFI INCREASING DRM BY PROMOTING CORPORATE NATURAL RESOURCE AND PROFESSIONAL INTEGRITY KENYA

Transparency International Kenya (TI K ) aimas at building capacity among government officials responsible for implementing beneficial ownership (BO) legislation. Understanding ownership information on land and real estate is critical to reducing IFFs and increasing DRM. The work will focus on monitoring the implementation of the BO legislation passed in 2019 and identifying where there is need for intervention. The work includes the production of policy materials and outreach to new government agencies that could benefit from further engagement on the topic.For National Taxpayers Association (NTA) advocacy has primarily focused on increased corporate taxation through advocacy campaigns at the national level. Expanding the advocacy approach to focus more on local taxation along with building stronger rity and local tax authorities creates a multi pronged approach. On national level NTA will focus on strengthening of enforcement through audit of the legislative framework Anti Money Londering (AML) corruption IFF and BO and produce policy material
