The goal of the research programme is to improve tax systems in order to promote pro.poor growth and good governance in developing (especially low.income and fragile) countries. The purpose is to help developing countries to i) mobilise domestic resources efficiently, effectively and equitably; and ii) develop tax systems that promote pro.poor economic growth and good governance.
